Legal translations require precision, terminology fluency, and a certification trail that holds up under judicial scrutiny. Our certified legal translation service is used by SRA-regulated solicitors, HMCTS courts and tribunals, the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum), notaries, and members of the Council for Licensed Conveyancers. Every translation includes a signed statement of accuracy, the translator’s full credentials, and a contact trail that satisfies the evidence standards courts apply to translated documents. We work across civil, criminal, family, immigration, probate, and commercial law, in over 200 source languages.

FAQ

Questions about this service

Are your translations admissible in HMCTS courts and tribunals?

Yes. Every translation includes a signed certification statement with the translator’s full name, qualifications, contact details, and a declaration that the translation is a true and accurate representation of the original. This format meets the published HMCTS guidance for translated evidence and is accepted by the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum) and the civil and family courts.

Do you provide sworn or notarised translations?

England and Wales does not operate a sworn-translator system, so the equivalent for UK courts is a certified translation accompanied by the translator’s statement of truth — which is what we provide. Where you need a notarised translation for service overseas (e.g. Spain, Italy, Portugal), we can coordinate notary attendance and apostille on request.

How do you handle confidentiality on sensitive litigation matters?

Every translator working on a legal matter has signed a standing confidentiality undertaking. Documents are stored encrypted, accessed only by the assigned translator and reviewer, and deleted from our systems after delivery. We can also work under a matter-specific NDA on request.

Can you turn around a translation for a tribunal hearing tomorrow?

Yes. Our rush service delivers within 8 hours, including weekends. For a hearing the next morning, instruct us by mid-afternoon and the translation will be in your inbox before 9am. For evidence bundles over 50 pages we will confirm exact timing on quote.

Do you offer bulk pricing for evidence bundles and disclosure packs?

Yes. Multi-document orders over 25 pages qualify for tiered bulk discounts. Send the bundle in a single instruction and we will quote a fixed total with a single certification cover for the whole bundle.

Will my translation be accepted by the Solicitors Regulation Authority or the CLC?

Our translations are routinely accepted by SRA-regulated firms and CLC-regulated conveyancers as evidence in client matters, regulatory submissions, and complaint handling. They meet the certification format required by both bodies’ published guidance on translated documents.
